Welcome to Gladrags Jewellery. My name is Suzy Richards and I design and make all of the jewellery you will see on this website.

I must start by saying that I totally love designing and creating jewellery, and feel very lucky that I can do it every day, I hope it shows in the pieces I make. Every item contains not only beautiful, quality components such as Murano glassBeautiful glass beads, most famous in heart shapes, handmade by craftsmen in Venice and lined with Sterling Silver or Gold foil. , fresh water pearls, SwarovskiDaniel Swarovski was an Austrian glass cutter and jeweller who patented a cutting machine to produce and cut lead crystal glass. It is world renowned for its beautiful light-reflecting qualities. crystal and semi-precious stones but also a whole lot of passion. I believe that this is what makes the jewellery I create so unique. I love it and hope you will too.

I also make items to order based on customer requirements to match outfits, ideas and colour needs, as well as matching items for most items shown on the website. If you are interested in having a bespoke item made please contact me and we can discuss your requirements. There are pictures of some of these items can be found here. Some of the components used in these items are in limited supply which is why they are not listed for sale, however if you see something you like then please contact me and I will let you know if they can be recreated or something similar

We accept payment through Paypal for all major credit and debit cards. Your card details are communicated directly between your computer and the Paypal secure server using SSL encryption.

Many items can be made in different colours, especially if they include Swarovski crystals and pearls. Please just ask. If you see something you like then please contact us and we can arrange for payment via Paypal. Alternatively if you would prefer to pay by cheque please email me and I will send you details of how to do this.

Please note that each piece of jewellery is handmade and therefore unique in its detail. Consequently items you order may vary slightly from the picture shown. This ensures that your piece of jewellery is the only one like it.

Please find here some pictures of personalised items of jewellery using sold sterling silver letter cubes (and Swarovski Crystals which can be in the colour of your choice). These are superb for christening, birth, confirmation and other special event gifts, or just for someone you love. One or two of these can also be used on any other items of jewellery seen of the website to add a personal touch. Please contact me for more information.

As many of the items used are natural products colour, shapes and sizes may vary slightly, each piece really is unique. Delivery costs £2.00 for the UK and we will endeavour to make and get your order to you within a week of payment.

Delivery will be made by Royal Mail First Class (not a recorded or secure service). If you wish to use Recorded Delivery or faster delivery please contact me. For overseas delivery please contact me.

In the unlikely event that you are not totally satisfied with your purchase please contact me to discuss refund/exchange, as long as it is within 7 days of receipt. Goods must be returned in a good condition. You must contact me before returning items. Due to EU hygiene rules I cannot accept returned earrings.

As jewellery contains small parts it is not recommended for small children. If you give it to small children you do so at your own risk.

To help keep your jewellery in the best possible condition you should protect it from perfume, hairspray, deodorant and any other chemicals which may harm the finish of beads, metal plating, semi precious stones and other findings used. It is also best to keep jewellery in a box or bag away from open air.

Privacy and Data Protection - any information given to Gladrags Jewellery is used only by me, and never given to external companies.

I run a set of workshops covering different jewellery making techniques and designs. These are run at 4 venues in the area or can also be run for a private party at a home or other venue. The workshops are great fun and over the 1½ to 2 hour instructor led session you will learn authentic jewellery making techniques and make beautiful items (I promise!) using quality components.
